About Us
Our department started its education life in the 2011-2012 academic year within the body of Hasan Kalyoncu University School of Health Sciences. It gave its first graduates in 2014-2015. Our department, which started its graduate education in the 2015-2016 academic year, both started its doctorate education in 2017-2018 and started to continue its undergraduate education under the roof of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Our department has 7 professors, 2 doctoral lecturers, 1 lecturer, 5 research assistants, 3 administrative staff. Nutrition Laboratory, Food Chemistry Laboratory and Anthropometry laboratory are fully equipped and used in education, training and research of our students.
Equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge in the first 6 semesters, our students get experience in each of the subjects of adult nutrition, child nutrition, mass nutrition systems and public health by doing internships in many contracted institutions in the last two terms in order to put this knowledge into practice.
Our department makes a difference between the Nutrition and Dietetics Departments in our country with its academic staff, education and training opportunities and internship opportunities. Our Nutrition and Dietetics department was accredited for 2 years by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Sciences Education Programs (SABAK) on 13.03.2020.
Bölümümüzde 7 profesör, 2 doktor öğretim üyesi, 1 öğretim görevlisi, 5 araştırma görevlisi, 3 idari personel hizmet vermektedir. Beslenme Laboratuvarı, Besin Kimyası Laboratuvarı ve Antropometri laboratuvarı tam donanımlı olarak öğrencilerimizin eğitimi, öğretiminde ve araştırmalarda kullanılmaktadır.
İlk 6 dönem teorik ve pratik bilgiler ile donanan öğrencilerimiz bu bilgilerini deneyime dökebilmek amacıyla son iki dönem anlaşmalı olduğumuz pek çok kurumda staja çıkarak yetişkin beslenmesi, çocuk beslenmesi, toplu beslenme sistemleri ve toplum sağlığı konularının her birinde deneyim sahibi olmaktadır.
Akademik kadrosu, eğitim öğretim imkanları ve staj olanakları ile bölümümüz ülkemizdeki Beslenme ve Diyetetik Bölümleri arasında fark yaratmaktadır. Beslenme ve Diyetetik bölümümüz, Sağlık Bilimleri Eğitim Programları Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Derneği (SABAK) tarafından 13.03.2020 tarihinde 2 yıl süreli akredite edilmiştir.
